Have ever wondered why it takes the Lord so long to answer your prayers? Well it isn't that it takes Him so long to answer as much as it is for us to put ourselves in the right place to receive the answer. Our Heavenly Father does not raise brats. He raises princes to operate this earth by the principles He established for His kingdom. That is why when He taught us to pray He states in the Lord's prayer:

10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Matt 6:10 (NKJV)

You see, the Lord uses our daily walk to establish His character in us. He doesn't offer us shortcuts because He needs to establish His character in us. Then we can walk in His principles and establish His kingdom here on earth now and in the age to come.

That is why the Lord sent the Israelites the "long way" to the promised land. He wanted to develop their character. Our Heavenly Father does not put His children through anything that they may not be able to handle. On our life's journey, He will teach us things about Himself and how we are to operate in faith so we can be called His sons.

17 Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, "Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt." 18 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt
Ex 13:17-18 (NKJV)

So the Lord had used the Red Sea to demonstrate His power to the Israelites and to destroy the Egyptian army. The Lord did not want His children to fight until they were ready. They were great in number and mighty, not a feeble one was among them, but the Lord knew they were not ready enter the promised land.

So when they came up against the Red Sea it seemed to them that it was restraining them. When in fact it was the very tool that would set them free. They seemed trapped by the sea until He opened it before them so they could cross. Then He closed it on the Egyptian army to drown them. He did this to encourage the Israelites that He was there to help them in their battles. He wanted to let them know that He would be with them to take the promised land. Unfortunately, the lesson did not stick, the Israelites allowed fear to overtake them when they were supposed to go in and take the promised land.

Have the situations you have been praying to be removed remained in your life? Does it seem to stay in your way? Does the mountain remain and prevent you from going forward?

Don't let it stop you from obtaining your destiny. Allow the Lord to use it to build your faith, develop your character and set you free. In other words, TELL THAT MOUNTAIN TO MOVE! in doing so ask the Lord what do you need to do to be free of that mountain in your life. When you act according to what He directs you to do then you will grow spiritually. Then the mountain won't only be moved but by casting it into the sea it will not return!

Though you may be challenged in taking the "Lord's long way" it is for your own good. He will see you through if you let Him.

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Matt 11:28-30 (NKJV)

Remember, when you take the "Lord's long way" put on His yoke, it is light and you will find rest.
